Manufacturer's instructions for smart BMS and DALY balancers

The order of connection of the BMS to the battery:
Make sure to use the appropriate stranded wires of the correct cross section; B- and P- should be different colors. Please pay attention to the markings of the B and P poles.

  1. When installing the wires, these must not be connected to the BMS.
  2. The battery must be composed of cells that are arranged in series.
  3. The wiring starts with a thin black wire connecting the main negative terminal of the battery (B-) and the second wire (red) is connected to the positive terminal of the first cell, followed by the second terminal of the second cell, to which the second red wire is connected.... to the last positive pole of the last cell in the battery chain, which is also the main positive pole of the battery (B+).
  4. After completing the wiring of the battery cell poles, first measure the voltage between the two adjacent metal terminals of each cell. The voltage of LiFePo4 cell should be between 2.5~3.6V, Li-Ion cells 3.0~4.15V, make sure the voltage is within the recommended limits before proceeding. If the voltage is abnormal, check if there are any connection problems.
  5. Connect wire B- (blue) to the main negative terminal of the battery (the length of wire B- should not exceed 40 cm).
  6. Only then insert the connector with cables into the BMS bus
  7. .

After the wiring is complete:

  1. Measure the battery voltage between poles B+ to B- and the voltage between poles B+ to P-. The voltages must be identical. This is the voltage of the battery itself, respectively, and the voltages of the entire battery including the BMS are identical. The matching voltages indicate that the BMS is functioning properly.
  2. If not, recheck the above sequence and wiring system.
  3. The positive
  4. charge and discharge poles are directly connected to the overall positive terminal (B+) of the battery. The BMS common port connection method is that the negative charge and discharge poles are connected to the P- pole.

Connecting the active balancer

The active balancer must match the BMS with the same string number/number (S). Different S numbers cannot be combined.

  1. After completing the BMS installation, check all wires are connected correctly;
  2. Before starting the BMS, make sure the active balancer is connected correctly and the BMS is installed and connected to the battery securely. Otherwise, the BMS may not operate correctly or permanent damage to the equipment may occur due to a short circuit.
